A deliberately mixed team of international and national experts - specialists in M&E, data science, public health, protection, and field coordination - embedded across Nairobi, Mogadishu, Addis Ababa, Juba and France, and backed by a network of 1,000+ trained enumerators deployable within 48 hours.

David specialises in complex evaluations and monitoring for aid and development actors in challenging contexts. With over 20 years of experience across Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe - as Project Manager, Country Director, Regional Coordinator, and consultant - he founded Axiom ME in 2012 and has since led 250+ evaluations, surveys, assessments, and TPM missions in Somalia, Yemen, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Kenya, and DR Congo for major donors, UN agencies, and NGOs.

Abdirashid Mohamed Hussein
Abdirashid brings 16+ years of humanitarian and development leadership across the Horn of Africa. Former Area Manager at NRC (South Yemen), Senior Humanitarian Advisor at Adeso Somalia, and Deputy County Secretary of Garissa County, he has led multi-million-dollar donor-funded programmes with UNOPS, NRC, Adeso, Kenya Red Cross, and Islamic Relief. With Axiom ME since 2023 on IGAD CEWARN, UNOPS/EU Somalia, and FCDO Kenya devolution evaluations.
Basheer Al Mohallal
Basheer has led Axiom ME's field operations across Yemen since 2021, managing the country's 320+ enumerator network and leading field teams for FSL and WASH programme evaluations, including for Solidarités International. President of the Pulse for Social Justice Organization, he brings 12+ years in international relations, field research management and civil-society leadership, with deep knowledge of Yemen's civil-society landscape and a strong network for recruiting local experts across the country's regions.

Mohamed Somo
Mohamed combines a postdoctoral research background in agricultural genetics with applied field M&E. Formerly a hybrid wheat breeding lead at Syngenta (USA) and postdoctoral researcher at Cornell University/USDA, he leads food security, seed systems, and livelihood evaluations for Axiom ME, including the World Bank Somalia Seed Systems and FAO value chain assessments.

Christine is a dedicated M&E Specialist with 5+ years at Axiom ME, leading monitoring, evaluation, proposal writing, and project development in fragile settings. She has evaluated projects across energy, peacebuilding, WASH, food security, livelihoods, health, nutrition, and education, and currently leads the AICS Somalia and UNOPS Non-Lethal Support TPM portfolios.

Antony Ahenda
Antony leads desk reviews, data analysis, report writing, and quality assurance across Axiom ME's portfolio. With a background in project planning and business development, he has delivered M&E work for UNICEF, OCHA, EU, World Bank, and AICS across Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Yemen.

Steve Abonyo
Steve manages Axiom ME's complete data pipeline - from ODK/Kobo form design through data cleaning, analysis, and interactive dashboard production. With 7+ years at Axiom ME, he has built real-time dashboards for WFP, NRC, and UNICEF portfolios and leads the data management team on quality and deadline standards.

Stephen Mayiel
Stephen brings 8+ years in gender, protection, and food security programming in emergency and development contexts. Former M&E/CPIMS Officer at IRC South Sudan and National Protection Officer at Nonviolent Peaceforce, he now coordinates all Axiom ME field operations in Sudan and South Sudan, including the UNICEF MCCT+ PDM and Geneva Call baseline studies.

Abdiwali Mohamed Ibrahim
Abdiwali is Axiom ME's senior field coordinator in Somalia, directing KIIs, FGDs, field observations, and call center data collection since 2019 for OCHA SHF, UNICEF, EU, World Bank, and UNOPS projects across South-Central Somalia, Banadir, Puntland, Somaliland, and Jubaland.
Dereje Mamo
Dereje has 10+ years in humanitarian health and nutrition programmes across Ethiopia. Former Medical Team Leader at Humedica International Aid and Health Officer at MSF-France/Holland, he now coordinates all Axiom ME TPM activities across Ethiopian regions for UNICEF, managing teams and quality-assuring data collection at scale.
